For a ‘fine dining’ experience, most of us head to the city, but in downtown Hurstville, one restaurant is reaching new heights! Hatch, located on the second floor of Humphrey’s Hotel at One Hurstville Plaza, is a newly-hatted restaurant. Offering diners a warm and inviting atmosphere, lacking pretension, Hatch’s menu is designed to share. Highlight offerings include the Caviar Cornettos – a nostalgia play on the ice-cream – with creme fraiche, black garlic aioli, and traditional caviar. For the mains, you can’t go past the Pan-fried Duck Breast, with celeriac and parsnip puree, port jus, roasted grapes and chard. And for the ultimate ‘cracker’ of a dessert, there’s the ‘Hatched’ Egg featuring a white chocolate shell, with passionfruit and mango and coconut ice-cream.
